Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nope — there's no single event day or sign-up deadline. ACP is an ongoing project, and conversations are happening in communities across the country all the time. Whenever you're ready, there's a place for you.
-
Your privacy matters to us. Conversations are recorded, and short audio clips may be used in listening summaries — but we will never identify anyone by name or location. What you share stays yours. You are also welcome to use a pseudonym and post-session redaction requests are honored if you change your mind about sharing.
-
The insights from your conversation get returned to the organization that hosted it, so local leaders and community members can hear what their neighbors are saying and respond. Your conversation also becomes part of a broader national picture — a people-centered snapshot of American civic life.
-
If your organization cares about bringing people together and creating space for honest, respectful conversation — yes, absolutely. ACP works with all kinds of organizations. The common thread isn't size or sector; it's a genuine commitment to your community.
-
